What I am Bringing to Mexico

We leave in 2 days for Mexico and I am SO EXCITED!! Jared and I are long overdue for a vacation together (it’s been almost a year). There has been so much going on over the last few months like losing my job, taking on my dream job full time, getting the dogs, he is working a ton of overtime and we just haven’t had quality time together in a long time. I am looking forward to just putting my phone down (except for the 2 hours he spends in the bathroom a day) and eating everything and drinking everything and swimming and just having fun! This will be Jareds first time to Mexico (and outside the country) and my 5th time at this resort. We LOVE it! We are staying at the Iberostar Riviera Maya at the Maya property. There are 5 different properties within Iberostar Rivera Maya all at different price points!

The property is exceptional, it has a million pools, its extremely clean, the beaches are beautiful, the food is amazing, there are multiple restaurants, tons of bars, and so many activities on the property you don’t even need to leave. If you have kids there is a TON for them to do you won’t feel like you need to keep them occupied and if you want to get away with just your significant other there is an adults only on the property called the Grand.

This is not sponsored in anyway I just want to give you my opinion and review since this is my 5th time so obviously I love it!

I have gotten a ton of questions on what I am bringing so I finally finished packing and want to share my outfits and jewelry I’m bringing as well as the toiletries and other items!

I definitely went a little overboard packing but I wanted to be prepared for any situation!

Carry on:

-Headphones

-Snacks

-Book

-Bathing suit, one outfit change, clean underwear (in case luggage gets lost)

-Computer

-Charger

-Empty water bottle (you can refill and not spend a ton on water)

-Passport

-ID

** You can not bring liquids over 4oz in a carry on**

Essentials:

-Bring medicine…for any situation. I have Advil, Pepto, Immodium, Zantac, and if you have a primary Dr I would have them prescribe you a zpack!

Clothes and Jewelry

This should help you out on any trip but especially one to a foreign country where it is hard to get basic items or it costs and arm and a leg just to get some sunscreen or Advil. Also bringing your own floats is a must for the pool and you can just leave them there when you leave! There is also never enough outlets or they are far away so bringing extra outlets and an extension cord will help! Bring your own cups to an all inclusive resort and they will make the drinks for you there instead in the shitty plastic cups and the ice melts immediately. We are bringing our Yeti cups but Walmart has an inexpensive version in case you are worried about losing them! Also bring a closed bottle that keeps water cold to keep with you on the beach or at the pool. I packed a small dawn dish soap for when we wash our cups out at the end of the day.

Time to go finish getting everything together! I can’t freaking wait!

xx, Em
