At Home Date Night Ideas!

As Valentine’s Day approaches and since the groundhog said 6 more weeks of winter (tears), let’s chat at home date night ideas! Jared and I love at home date nights, don’t have to dress up, go out in the cold, etc. We can stay in our PJs and just hang! He is definitely more of a home body then I am, I love going out but obviously this year has made that difficult! He also has been working LONG hours so by time he gets home, showers, gets ready, he is ready to just relax on the couch.

Our personal favorite, make your own pizza night!

You can either be VERY creative with this one or buy pre-made ingredients, it will still be fun! Our personal favorite pizza crust is the the Brooklyn Bread crusts, they are delicious! If you don’t know Jared is a pizza connoisseur, he LOVES pizza. We have tried about every grocery store crust, sauce, and cheese! The best pizza sauce is Victorias Pizza Sauce, its the perfect texture and has really good flavor. I highly suggest opting for fresh mozzarella and either slicing it or shredding it! It melts so well, and has so much more flavor than shredded mozzarella in a bag. Add whatever toppings you enjoy and bake! It is fun to do together and always fun to make your own concoction. Pair with your favorite wine and enjoy!

Hunt a Killer Game Night

If you like true crime, this one is for you! Hunt a Killer and Amazon offer “cold case files” and basically give you real life Clue. You have all the evidence and you need to work together to find out who the killer is. It may take more then 1 night and you can also play with more people if you choose! Patience is key when playing haha!

Favorite Things Date Night

This one does require heading to a few different places, but worth it! I did this for Jared’s birthday and he loved it. I got his favorite pizza, favorite Taco Bell order, and fries from Arby’s. He doesn’t like dessert (yes, something is wrong with him) so I skipped on that. So you can either surprise your significant other with their favorite food or the both of you can pick up your favorites and just pig out!

Make Your Own Pasta Night

This one you can do two different ways. One way is you can look up a recipe online and follow that, OR you can book an online pasta making class! The online class seems a lot more fun and informative to me, but either works. There are a bunch of online sources that you can book a class through, or any cooking class for that matter! We have not doe this one yet, but definitely will in the future.

Fondue Night

This one is another favorite of ours! I found a recipe on TikTok for beer cheese dip and it is SO GOOD. This is not my recipe it is from @traderjoesfoodreviews on TikTok.

-Heat 2 TBSP butter until melted and add 3 TBSP flour and mix until combined

-Slowly add in 1 Cup of milk

-Add 1 cup shredded Gouda

-Add 2/3 cup your favorite beer-stir until combined

-Add 1 cup shredded cheddar

-Season with paprika, onion powder, and salt

SO easy and absolutely delicious. You can also follow any fondue recipe. We eat it with fresh bread, potatoes, carrots, peppers, broccoli, and honestly it would be good on cardboard.

Favorite Dessert Night

This is something I would love to do but Jared would be lame…so I would do it with girlfriends! You can each make your favorite dessert, and share! Some of my favorite desserts are chocolate covered strawberries, chocolate mousse, and tiramisu. The first 2 are easy, tiramisu is definitely a harder dessert to make but worth it!

I hope these help with your at home date nights! They are simple but always fun.

xx, Em
